Chase Waives Foreign Transaction Fee for United MileagePlus Explorer Card

This week, Chase announced that they were going to remove the foreign transaction fee from the United MileagePlus Explorer card, allowing it to join the growing number of Chase cards that do not have a foreign transaction fee. This is a great move for this card due to the fact that it provides primary rental insurance (unlike most other cards), so it can be very useful when renting a car in a foreign country.

American Airlines Reduced Mileage Awards

American Airlines has many promo awards and this is the list of current reduced mileage awards for the US. How does a domestic award ticket for 17,500 miles cost? Pretty good!

CNN’s Calendar of Exotic Marathons

A while ago, CNN released a list of their choices for exotic marathons. One of the great things about traveling with miles is that it can help make running a marathon in Hong Kong cheaper than your nearest large US marathon. This helps make the exotic more typical! Check out the list and be sure to check back as we break down some of them to give you some great options.

Junk Mail Saturday

This week’s Junk Mail Saturday featured two totally different pieces of “junk” mail. Check them out and be sure to watch your mailbox for a targeted offer from American Express for 100,000 Membership Rewards!
